Success at SonS2017

Around 450 STEM teachers from 30 countries, including Ireland come together to exchange innovative teaching ideas at a fair, in workshops and on stage at the the 2017 Science on Stage festival in Debrechen last week.

Nine Irish science teachers attended the 2017 Science on Stage festival in Debrechen last week.

These included:

Robert Clarke and Declan Cathcart received highly commended awards at the festival and Paul Nugent was elected to the executive board.

The team have collected many innovative teaching ideas from the festival and will work on these over the summer to produce a booklet of teaching ideas and demos which will be shared on the website.

Science on Stage Ireland is coordinated by Dr. Eilish McLoughlin, CASTeL and Mr. Paul Nugent, IOPI teacher network coordinator. Science on Stage Ireland is supported by the Centre for the Advancement of STEM Teaching and Learning (CASTeL) at Dublin City University, the Institute of Physics in Ireland (IOPI) and Science Foundation Ireland.
