Motors in a Lunchbox
Sean’s project involves a simple kit that teachers can easily put together and have ready to provides a very simple class activity where as many groups of students as required can make a working electric motor. The students will learn and investigate various aspects of magnetism, electricity, energy conversions etc in a fun way, they can even have a competition to see who can interpretation the instructions and build the motor first.
His interests apart from physics include astronomy, space science, marine ecology, photography, hillwalking and more recently, drone flying.
See Sean’s project at the Science on Stage workshop at the ISTA conference in Maynooth on the 8th April.
